END OF THE YEAR PROJECT: COMIC

DRAWING THE PANDEMIC

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, both creatives and cartoonists all around the world have been in charge of illustrating the different (but pretty similar) ways in which humans have been dealing with this weird situation.

Most of them have chosen the everyday life as their main source of inspiration, making use of irony and exaggeration to laugh about similar elements: hand sanitizer, toilet paper, our idiotic ways of coping during lockdown, etc.

Adults going cuckoo during lockdown.

Now, we all know how adults have felt during the lockdown (Ahem! Cuckoo!). But I'm really interesed in knowing how most of you, guys, have been dealing with it. These last couple of months must have been quite stressful for you, having to keep up with both school and English work, locked in with your family 24/7, not being able to go out or hang out with your friends...

Thankfully, summer is just around the corner, so I figured it's right about time to start relaxing and having some fun while easing into it. Therefore, as a final project, I suggest we create a comic about this whole weird experience. What do you think?

Assignment

Choose one of the comic starters or prompts below and complete your own comic about the whole Covid-19 pandemic experience. Download and print out one of the templates, then get creative! Try to use some of the vocabulary and grammar you've learnt throughout the year.
